Tasks

• Build and deploy features on a high-throughput streaming platform that processes billions of market data points daily.
• Break down distributed systems components to the level that engineers actually work with.
• Work closely with team members and designers to create new systems and incorporate emerging trends.
• Drive platform stability through rigorous incident response, post-incident analysis, and actionable fixes.
• Share knowledge through thought leadership teams and by mentoring junior Python mentors.

Requirements

Required

• 3–9 years of professional experience in software engineering, with Java as your primary programming language.
• In-depth understanding of data pipelines and streaming architectures (e.g.,
• Proficiency in Python, Clojure, React, and various database frameworks such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience through close collaboration.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude for data engineering. - Eager and interested in working with the most resilient design teams to build data workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Able to partner with developers to deliver value to customers on behalf of stakeholders.

Advantageous

• A strong academic record and a degree with a significant focus on mathematics and computing, such as computer science, mathematics, engineering, or physics.

• Experience with performance optimization and large-scale data processing.
