Senior QA Automation Engineer

Tasks

• Design and build comprehensive regression test packages using Testharness and other automation frameworks
• Improving and promoting certification processes, reducing manual overload and increasing efficiency
• Promotion of automation solutions for stress tests, performance tests and future validation
• Creating a better organization and visualization of test scenarios to improve test coverage
• Collaboration with business analysts and engineering teams on automation improvements
• Improvement of simulator capabilities and integration within the test ecosystem
• Promoting the introduction of best practices for testing across the execution platform
• Support for production test and certification teams

Requirements

• Strong background in test automation and quality assurance methods
• Experience with automated test frameworks and test harness development
• Strong analytical skills to identify gaps in test coverage and causes of errors
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration between teams
• Proactive approach to identifying test automation opportunities and delivering high quality test artifacts
• Ability to work independently while supporting the goals of the wider team
• Proficiency in Java and Unix environments
• Experience with existing tests and performance test automation
• Knowledge of the FIX protocol and electronic trading communication (preferred)
• Experience in Java or C++ and SQL
• Understanding of financial markets and trading systems (preferred)
