Senior Quantitative Researcher - Macros

The Senior Quantitative Researcher - Macros (m/f/d) is responsible for the development and implementation of macroeconomic trading strategies and works closely with the team to solve complex problems in the financial markets. The candidate should have a strong mathematical, statistical and computational background and experience in researching and trading futures and FX.

Tasks

  • Researching and trading signals for futures and FX
  • Intraday predictor design and analysis
  • Application of statistical techniques, machine learning and data analysis
  • Understanding transaction costs and mitigation strategies
  • Coding skills and experience in dealing with large amounts of data (especially Python)

Requirements

Technology and business skills

  • 4+ years of experience in researching and trading signals for futures and FX
  • Experience with intraday predictor design and analysis
  • Experience with statistical techniques, machine learning and data analysis
  • Strong understanding of transaction costs and mitigation strategies
  • Strong coding skills and experience in dealing with large amounts of data (especially Python)

Personal characteristics

  • Strong academic background and degree with high mathematical, statistical and computational content (e.g. mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics or physics)
  • Hands-on attitude, willing to get involved in technology and projects
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented
  • Self-organized with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple projects and with conflicting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain close working relationships
  • Confident communicator, able to convey complex ideas and deal positively with conflicting views
