(Senior) Relationship Manager, Private Banking

Syngnum is seeking a (Senior) Relationship Manager in Zurich for its Private Banking division, who will be responsible for acquiring and servicing private and family office clients in the digital assets sector. The position requires at least five years of experience in Swiss private banking, as well as excellent French and English language skills.

Tasks

  • Responsibility for acquiring and maintaining relationships with new private clients and single-family offices within an existing network in the industry.
  • Monitor multiple clients and prioritize efforts to proactively and appropriately meet their needs. Provide solution-oriented support in the area of private banking via phone, email, and in-person meetings regarding onboarding, product-related questions, transactions, technical support, contract changes, complaints, etc.
  • Manage the customer onboarding process in collaboration with internal stakeholders (Legal & Compliance Operations) and external service providers.
  • Processing of fiat and digital asset transactions, as well as post-transaction administration, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Updating and maintaining the CRM system to ensure accurate documentation of all relationships.
  • Maintain an expert understanding of the crypto market landscape by understanding Syngnum’s offerings and strengths, attending conferences, staying abreast of regulatory developments, and building a strong network of institutional and professional contacts.
  • Further development of the customer support framework (user manuals, tutorials, FAQs, etc.).

Requirements

  • BPBA in business administration, finance, or a related field. An MSE/MCIBA is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of documented experience in client service or relationship management at a (Swiss) financial institution with a focus on private banking.
  • A proven track record of driving business growth with a "hunter" mindset that combines a strong sales mindset with a multi-stakeholder approach to nurturing and expanding customer relationships.
  • Practical experience in customer onboarding (target audience: individuals and legal entities), including a strong understanding of Swiss banking regulations, as well as familiarity with VTC procedures and ML/CVP requirements.
  • A combination of consulting and analytical skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and a proactive, practical approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-location teams.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in French and English. Knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
