Senior Relationship Manager
TradeXBank AG is seeking an experienced Senior Relationship Manager to join the Commodity Trade Finance team in Zurich and manage and develop a portfolio of commodity trading clients. The ideal candidate will have at least 7-10 years of experience in the commodity trade finance sector and strong sales and client management skills.
Job description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Relationship Manager to strengthen the Commodity Trade Finance (CTF) team in Zurich. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring and managing an assigned portfolio of existing clients in the area of commodity trade finance.Tasks
- Increase in the bank portfolio in the CTF sector
- Management and development of a portfolio of clients in the CTF sector
- Structuring and reviewing new and existing credit lines in line with customer needs and the bank's strategy
- Preparation of credit applications and credit approval forms (CCD) for submission to the risk department and presentation to the credit committee
- Assessment and analysis of corporate and transaction risks for existing and new clients
- Regular monitoring of customers' financial situations, their overall profitability, collateral, or other credit or non-financial risks (e.g., compliance risks) as part of the first line of defense
- Structuring and monitoring transactions with other departments (financial institutions, documentary credits, credit management, legal department, etc.)
- Negotiation of credit documents and other legal documents
- Monitoring customer relationships and promoting cross-selling opportunities
- Ensuring up-to-date KYC and compliance due diligence and regular KYC and KYT verification
- Collaboration with other departments for a cross-selling strategy
Requirements
- University degree in economics or a qualification recognized as equivalent
- At least 7-10 years of experience in commodity trade finance, including at least 5 years as a relationship manager in a bank's commodity trade finance department
- Strong technical and market-oriented knowledge in the field of commodity trade finance, with experience in multiple commodities
- Good knowledge of banking products in general
- Risk structuring approach
- Excellent communication, marketing, and sales skills
- Good analytical and social skills
- Good organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to adapt to different cultures and travel
- Dynamic, self-motivated, results-oriented
- Team player – good cooperation and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in French and English (German would be an advantage)
- Computer skills with excellent command of MS Office applications
- Valid Swiss/EU passport or a valid Swiss work visa (mandatory)
