Senior Software Engineer (Full-Time)
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience in developing integration platforms and working with agile methodologies to help shape the future of wealth management. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of experience in software development, a solid foundation in system design and scalable architecture, and experience with cloud-based environments and Kafka architecture.
Tasks
As a Senior Software Engineer for the Integration Services teams, which are part of the Software Delivery Accelerator Domain, you will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of integration platforms used throughout the domain. You will drive project initiatives from conception through delivery to ensure on-time, high-quality results. You will provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams and promote best practices.Requirements
The requirements for this position are:- Communicating highly technical issues to a non-technical audience.
- Influencing and improving the engineering practices of existing developers.
- Collaboration with stakeholders to achieve goals, including experience with agile methodologies such as SAFE, Scrum, and/or Extreme Programming.
- Experience with best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD).
- Investigating and resolving production issues to maintain a stable production environment and remain calm and effective in crisis situations.
- Stakeholder Management – Close collaboration with stakeholders, business change engineers, and project managers to drive and manage software delivery.
- Requirements analysis, effort estimation, schedule planning, and progress management.
- Ensuring awareness, engagement, and support for life insurance stakeholders and participants by involving strong project teams and delivering robust solutions to complex challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Technical and architectural design, enforcing architectural guidelines, and challenging the status quo.

Regulatory responsibilities and risk management include:- Establishing appropriate values and behaviors, including, but not limited to, standards for honesty and integrity, diligence and prudence, fair treatment (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competent and continuous development, appropriate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that risks and issues are identified and closely managed, and encourage all stakeholders to deliver on time and in accordance with the required quality standards.
