Senior Software Engineer, Core Banking

Tasks

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building processes and interfaces that connect Sygnam's digital solutions with our core banking platform. Your work will ensure that digital assets and core banking operations are seamlessly synchronized. Your main tasks will include:

• Active participation in the development of new features and improvements by writing and reviewing high-quality, secure code with comprehensive test coverage
• Continuously improving the quality and security of applications, identifying existing technical debt, and implementing changes to resolve it
• Respond promptly and effectively to production incidents, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and restore service continuity.
• Collaborate with platform engineers to improve CI/CD pipelines and streamline release processes
• Collaborate with site reliability engineers and solution architects to optimize application availability, resilience, and observability
• Supporting and guiding junior software engineers through coaching and mentoring

• Is familiar with the entire development phase, from solution development to application operation in production
• Is proactive and motivated by new opportunities and challenges

What sets you apart:

• Expert knowledge in Java (10+ years)
• Expert knowledge in C++ or Quarkus (or Spring)
• Expertise in working with RDBMS (ideally Postgres)
• Experience with using Kafka
• Experience with the use of teaching frameworks (ideally Redis)
• Designing flexible and robust REST APIs with an API-first approach
• Understanding of microservices, event-driven architecture, and ability to implement complex functionalities with high quality and security
• Practical experience with Docker and containerization
• Experience working with Kubernetes
• Experience working with AWS is an advantage
• Experience working with TypeScript and a UI framework (React, Angular) is an advantage.
