Senior Software Engineer, Core Banking

Tasks

• Developing new features and improvements by writing and reviewing high-quality, secure code with comprehensive test coverage
• Continuous improvement of application quality and security, identification of existing technical debt, and planning for its resolution
• Respond quickly and efficiently to production incidents, collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, and restore service continuity
• Collaborate with platform engineers to improve CI/CD pipelines and optimize release processes
• Collaborate with site reliability engineers and solution architects to optimize the availability, resilience, and observability of applications
• Supporting and Guiding Young Software Engineers Through Coaching and Mentoring
• Development of scalable backend services based on the tech stack: Java on AWS
• Design and maintenance of API-based integrations (such as account balance inquiries, account transfers, payments, trading, and messaging) to meet evolving customer and business needs

Requirements

• Expertise in Java (21+)
• Expertise in Quarkus (or Spring)
• Expertise in working with RDBMS (ideally Postgres)
• Work experience with caching frameworks (ideally Redis)
• Designing Flexible and Robust REST APIs Using an API-First Approach
• Understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture, and the ability to implement complex functionalities with high quality and security
• Practical experience with Docker and containers
• Experience working with Kubernetes
• Experience working with AWS is a plus
• Experience working with TypeScript and a UI framework (React, Angular) is a plus
