Senior Software Engineer, Custody Value Stream (80-100%)

Sygnum is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Custody Value Stream team to develop secure, scalable, and innovative solutions for digital asset management services. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing backend services, has a collaborative attitude, and is committed to quality and security.

Tasks

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Custody Value Stream, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Actively participate in the development of new features and improvements by writing and reviewing high-quality, secure code with comprehensive test coverage.
  • Continuous improvement of application quality and security, identification of existing technical debt, and creation of plans for remediation
  • Prompt and efficient response to production incidents, collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and restore service continuity
  • Collaborate with platform engineers to improve CICD pipelines and optimize release processes
  • Collaborate with SRE engineers and solution architects to optimize application availability, resilience, and observability
  • Supporting and guiding younger software engineers through coaching and mentoring

The following skills and experience can set you apart:
  • Expert knowledge in Java and/or TypeScript
  • Expertise in security and applied cryptography
  • Expert knowledge in an industry framework such as Spring or Quarkus
  • Experience with NDBMS (e.g., Redis, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience working with Kafka
  • Experience with distributed systems and infrastructure
  • Designing flexible and robust REST APIs with an API-first approach
  • Understanding of microservices, event-driven architecture, and ability to implement complex functionalities with high quality and security
  • Work experience with Docker and containerization
  • Experience with Kubernetes is an advantage
  • Experience with AWS is an advantage
