About the role

The Custody Value Stream is a cross-functional team dedicated to the safe custody of digital assets, our front office. As part of a regulated digital asset bank, we are entrusted with the safekeeping of client assets and place security, compliance and operational integrity at the forefront of everything we do. We operate in an agile, product-driven environment, bringing together specialists from product management, engineering and architecture to develop and operate scalable, end-to-end custody solutions. Our platform is continuously evolving to meet the highest standards of security, scalability and resilience, ensuring client assets remain protected in an increasingly complex digital landscape. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our agile scrum team within the custody value stream, where you will help develop secure, scalable and innovative solutions that support our digital asset custody services.

Your main tasks

• Actively participate in the development of new features and enhancements by writing and reviewing high-quality, secure code with comprehensive test coverage
• Continuously improving the quality and security of applications, identifying existing technical debt and planning measures to eliminate it
• Responding quickly and efficiently to production incidents, working with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and restore service continuity
• Collaboration with platform engineers to improve CICD pipelines and streamline release processes
• Collaboration with SRE engineers and solution architects to optimize application availability, resilience and observability
• Support and guidance for younger software engineers through coaching and mentoring

What makes you stand out

• Expertise in Java and/or TypeScript
• Expertise in security and applied cryptography
• Expertise in an industry framework such as Spring or Quarkus
• Experience with working with Hyperledger (e.g. Hyperledger Fabric)
• Experience with the architecture of Kafka
• Experience with distributed systems and infrastructure
• Design of flexible and robust REST APIs with an API-first approach
• Understanding of microservices, event-driven architecture and implementation of complex functionality with high quality and security
• Working knowledge of Docker and containerization
• Experience working with Kubernetes is an advantage
• Experience working with AWS is an advantage
