Senior Software Engineer, Custody Value Stream (80-100%)

About the role

• The Custody Value Stream is a cross-functional team dedicated to the secure custody of digital assets, our primary service.
• As part of a regulated digital asset bank, we are inherently entrusted with safeguarding client assets, and we place security, compliance, and operational integrity at the heart of everything we do.
• We operate in an agile, product-led environment, bringing together expertise in product management and engineering to deliver and operate scalable, end-to-end custody services.
• Our platform is constantly evolving to maintain the highest standards of security, reliability, and resilience, ensuring that client assets remain protected in an increasingly complex digital landscape.
• We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our agile Scrum team within the custody value stream, where you'll help build secure, scalable, and innovative solutions that power our digital asset custody services.

Your main responsibilities

• Deliver code end-to-end — from writing and reviewing secure, well-tested code to running it confidently in production
• Drive continuous improvement in application quality and security, treating technical debt as a risk that must be actively managed
• Ensure platform reliability by collaborating across engineering disciplines—CI/CD, SRE, DevOps, and networking—to raise the bar for availability, resilience, and observability
• Build the team's capabilities by mentoring junior engineers and raising engineering standards by leading by example

Our ideal candidate

• 8+ years of experience with TypeScript and/or Java
• Expertise in security and applied cryptography
• Expertise in an industry framework such as NestJS, Spring, or Quarkus
• Expertise in working with RDBMS (ideally Postgres)
• Work experience with Kafka
• Experience with distributed systems and infrastructure
• Designing Flexible and Robust REST APIs Using an API-First Approach
• Understanding microservices and event-driven architecture, and being able to implement complex functionality with high quality and security
• Working knowledge of Docker and containerization
• Experience working with Kubernetes is a plus
• Experience working with MM is beneficial
• Experience working with AWS is a plus
