Senior Software Engineer

Tasks

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Integration Services team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying integration platforms used across the entire organization. You will lead project initiatives from conception through delivery and ensure that the results are delivered on time and are of high quality. You will also be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams and promoting best practices.

Responsibilities

• Communicating highly technical issues to a non-technical audience.
• Influencing and improving the engineering practices of existing developers.
• Collaborating with and supporting teams to achieve goals. Experience with agile methodologies such as SAFE, Scrum, and/or Extreme Programming.
• Experience with best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD).
• Investigating and resolving production issues to ensure a stable production environment; maintaining composure and effectiveness in crisis situations.
• Stakeholder Management – Close collaboration with finance professionals, business change engineers, and project managers to steer and manage software delivery.
• Requirements analysis, effort estimation, schedule planning, progress tracking.
• To foster awareness, influence, and support among lifecycle stakeholders and participants by engaging strong project teams and delivering robust solutions to complex development challenges throughout the entire lifecycle.
• Overseeing and reviewing technical and architectural designs, enforcing architectural guidelines, and challenging the status quo.

Regulatory responsibilities and risk management

• Establishing appropriate roles and boundaries, including standards for honesty and integrity, diligence and prudence, fair dealing (equitable treatment of customers), conflict management, competent and continuous development, appropriate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Take responsibility for identifying and managing risks and issues, and for coordinating all stakeholders to deliver high-quality results on time.

• 5–10 years of practical experience in software development, with a solid foundation in system design and scalable architecture.
• At least 3 years of experience working in cloud-based environments and delivering infrastructure solutions to project teams.
