Senior Specialist - Employee-Related Conflicts 80-100% (f/m/d)

The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Senior Specialist for Employee-Related Conflicts (80–100%) who will be responsible for monitoring and managing employee conflicts and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the financial sector, particularly in private banking or wealth management, as well as in-depth knowledge of market conduct principles and regulatory requirements.

Tasks

The tasks include:
  • Responsibility for transactions and conflicts of interest, with accountability to Group Compliance and regulatory authorities
  • Management of end-to-end processes, including restrictive lists, prior approvals, and annual declarations, as well as conducting controls to ensure consistency and audit readiness
  • Promoting process improvements through automation and technology partnerships to increase efficiency, coverage, and risk detection
  • Serving as the point of escalation for suspected violations, leading investigations, and coordinating disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR and line management
  • Advising senior management on behavioral risks, personal trading restrictions, and mitigation measures, taking business realities into account

Requirements

The requirements are:
  • Either a university degree in law, business administration, finance, or a related field, or extensive professional experience in the banking sector, particularly in areas such as trading or trust supervision
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience at a financial services firm, preferably in private banking or wealth management, with a solid understanding of fair value principles and regulatory expectations
  • Proven expertise in transaction monitoring and/or employee compliance, including policy interpretation, violation assessment, investigations, and disciplinary recommendations
  • Demonstrated interest in and contribution to the optimization, automation, and digitization of compliance processes, particularly in areas such as transaction monitoring, pre-approval workflows, or employee disclosure initiatives
  • Solid knowledge of private banking products and services to enable an accurate assessment of employee activities in the context of complex instruments, investment products, and advisory services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with compliance systems, Workday, or trade security platforms is a plus
  • Fluent English (written and spoken); knowledge of German is a plus
