Senior System Architect for GPS ART, Full-Time (f/m/d)
As a Senior System Architect for GPS ART, you will design the target and transition architectures for critical platforms at Julius Baer in Zurich and work closely with stakeholders to align them with the global enterprise architecture. This 12-month contract position requires several years of experience as a system architect in the financial sector, as well as in-depth knowledge of Markets environments and integration technologies.
Tasks
- Drive the definition of the GPS target and transition architecture for various initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall enterprise architecture vision and objectives and close collaboration with key stakeholders
- Definition of a custom solution blueprint and transition roadmaps, including specific inputs and actions to achieve the target application landscape
- Support the definition and implementation of GPS Architecture governance and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, policies, and guidelines
- You understand the trends and drivers in the financial industry, markets, and technology, and work with your business partners to develop innovative and sound solutions
- You empower Agile teams to deliver solutions tailored to their needs and support them on topics related to enterprise architecture
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven multi-year experience as a system architect in the financial industry or with a strong focus on banking
- A good understanding of the market environment, preferably with prior experience in securities execution or the architecture and design of derivatives issuance in previous projects
- Several years of experience implementing or supporting Front Arena and/or Managed Distributed Financial Services environments, including familiarity with the data models and risk management components of these vendor platforms
- A solid understanding of market and credit risk concepts, including value-at-risk, counterparty exposure, P&L analysis, etc.
- Experience with various integration technologies (e.g., streaming, messaging, web services)
- Hands-on experience as a web software developer (e.g., Java, .NET, JavaScript, React, Angular, etc.) and with relational and NoSQL databases is a strong advantage
- Knowledge and curiosity about current technologies, technology trends, and financial market developments
- Certification in business architecture (e.g., TOGAF, RIA) is highly desirable
