Senior System Architect - Order Management Platform

Tasks

• You design and are responsible for the solution architecture for applications in delivery.
• You ensure that your solution architectures comply with architectural standards in delivery and are consistent with the target architectures of the area.
• You identify and manage architectural liabilities when there is a mismatch between transition and target architectures.
• You initiate architecture decisions, document them as architecture decision records (ADRs), and have them approved by the relevant architecture committees.
• You advise and coach software engineers on the implementation of solution architectures and ensure that these are technically feasible.
• In addition to architecture planning, they also support later phases of the software life cycle, such as testing, release, and operation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in banking, trading, or order management (experience in alternative investments, stock or bond trading preferred)
• 3+ years of experience as a senior architect, lead or senior software engineer
• Ability to identify options for solution architectures and make architecture trade-off decisions
• Strong integration design skills (APIs and event-based integration, including Kafka)
• Understanding of the order lifecycle and its integration into internal end-to-end processes
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Understanding and experience in software engineering, including DevOps
• Proven experience in solution design and knowledge of current architectural styles, e.g., event-driven
• Ability to develop and coordinate solutions together with business and technology partners as well as architecture colleagues
