Senior System Engineer

The Senior System Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining infrastructure automation frameworks using tools such as Terraform and Ansible in hybrid cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure). The role also involves collaborating with security teams, managing projects using Agile methodologies, and designing service catalogs and SLAs within the infrastructure team.

Tasks

  • Designing infrastructure-as-code and configuration management solutions using tools such as Terraform and Ansible to effectively automate and manage on-premises infrastructure.
  • Building and maintaining infrastructure automation solutions in cloud environments using AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Collaborating and partnering with third- and fourth-party services and partners, and serving as an advocate for the dynamics of the Azure Partner Network.
  • Project management and project delivery using traditional and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)
  • Serving as a product owner and advocate for new solutions and capabilities within the infrastructure function.
  • Creating service catalogs to describe services and track SLAs, and generating reports with appropriate context and actions.
  • Contributing to the design of service catalogs, service blueprints, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborating with security team members to gather and analyze risk assessment results, ensuring that appropriate risk mitigation strategies are in place.

Requirements

  • Experienced in configuring and managing Active Directory.
  • Experience with container technologies based on Kubernetes (Elastic, Confluence, Jira).
  • Knowledge of SIEM platforms and the skills to deploy tools such as Splunk and ELK.
  • Experience with virtual, private, and hybrid cloud architectures in multi-cloud environments, including experience in network design, data flow design, and systems architecture.
  • Understanding of storage networks and how they integrate with modern system environments.
  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
  • Self-organized, with the ability to prioritize and execute complex, multi-layered projects.
  • A background in continuous integration, continuous delivery, and pipelines; the ability to integrate complex delivery processes and collaborate throughout the DevOps lifecycle.
  • Microsoft Teams, Jira, Plany, Slack, Microsoft Logic Apps, Ansible, Octopus Deploy, Terraform, and GraphQL.
