Senior Tax Manager - Global Private Bank
As a Senior Tax Manager in the Global Private Bank division at HSBC in Geneva, you will lead the Swiss tax team and provide support on cross-border tax and regulatory issues. You will be responsible for the identification and assessment of tax risks as well as the preparation and filing of tax returns.

Senior Tax Manager - Global Private Bank
Tasks
- Lead the Swiss tax team with strong expertise and technical knowledge to advise and support members of the department on cross-border tax and regulatory issues
- Identification, assessment and reporting of tax risks under the direction of the Head of Client Tax Switzerland and in accordance with HSBC policies and procedures
- Providing technical support on tax, legal and regulatory issues; ensuring that tax returns are prepared and filed on time
- Requirements:
Your tasks
- Gain a good understanding of cross-border international tax developments and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for tax
- Have tax expertise and compliance and/or wealth management knowledge and support tax compliance and effectiveness of GST, VAT, CIT and local tax operations
- Have a good understanding of the tax laws relating to individuals, trusts, estates and companies and provide advice on international tax
- Support for cross-border business initiatives and delivery of international taxes on key steps
Specific tasks
- Technical advice on international tax issues affecting existing and new products and businesses
- Technical advice on international tax developments affecting International Tax and Finance within the Bank
- Technical support for International Tax and Finance and related policies and procedures
- Tax advice on complex and/or critical tax management responsibilities; ensuring that appropriate and timely measures are implemented
- Advice and development of tax knowledge in the preparation and maintenance of Swiss and other international taxes
- Technical support for taxes and other international taxes
- Management of a cross-functional project team on a rotating basis
- Contact person and expert for taxes within International Financial Markets
Requirements
- Flexible, dynamic and adaptable behavior to contribute to and support digitalization
- Highly flexible and motivated working hours, e.g. support and implementation of transformative programs
- Strong experience in modeling and process design
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Confidence in the use of PC software, including Word, Excel, Outlook; ability to use internet search engines
- Fluency in English; French and other languages may be an advantage
