Tasks

The position of Senior Trader involves the following responsibilities:

• Efficient and cost-effective execution of orders across multiple asset classes
• Collaboration with portfolio managers, quantitative analysts, and technologists to ensure best execution
• Contribution of best-in-class trading and analytical capabilities to the investment process
• Impact on investment ideas and discretionary trading decisions

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Familiarity with and adherence to all global compliance guidelines, internal procedures, and the employee handbook
• Ensuring that all transactions are authorized by the portfolio manager and accurately recorded in the trading system
• Reporting regulatory concerns, suspicious market activities, and providing regular updates to the Compliance Department and the relevant risk manager
• Improving processes to meet best execution obligations for clients
• Evaluation of the bank's value through analysis to identify potential alpha leakage
• Effective trade management of flows (e.g., utilization, slippage, trends, bank performance, and flow impact)

Requirements

The requirements for this position are:

• At least 5 years of experience in front-office trading, with a strong preference for buy-side hedge fund or asset manager trading environments
• Experience in trading corporate cash credit, bilateral repos, bilateral loans, high-yield (HY) and/or emerging markets (EM) securities, with a focus on best execution across asset classes
• Bachelor's degree (minimum) in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
• Extensive experience in raising capital and managing broker and counterparty relationships at the senior level
• Expert partnerships with brokers on Trade/EMS/OMS platforms (e.g., FlexTrade, Charles River, MarketKx, TradeWeb, etc.)
• Strong understanding of market structure, market design, and upstream and downstream transparency rules (MiFIR)
• Knowledge of Python is preferred
• Familiarity with electronic trading platforms, the FIX protocol, and market infrastructures
