Senior Wealth Planner
The Senior Wealth Planner at EFG International in Dubai is responsible for developing wealth planning strategies and advising clients from the MENA and NRI regions on tax, estate planning, and insurance matters. The position requires 5–7 years of relevant professional experience, as well as in-depth knowledge of wealth planning and strong networking skills.
Tasks
- Work with CROs, clients, and prospective clients to identify their wealth planning needs and goals, with a primary focus on the wealth needs, goals, and opportunities of MENA and NRI clients in the broader context of wealth planning
- Establishment, maintenance, and development of a strong network of relevant service providers, attorneys, accountants, relocation consultants, and similar partners in the MENA region and among NRIs
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to assist with the processing, coordination, and completion of wealth planning cases in the MENA region
- Collaboration with EFG Trustees to facilitate the establishment of EFG trust structures and other fiduciary structures, primarily for MENA and NRI clients
- Conducting market updates in the area of wealth planning as a subject matter expert for MENA and NRI
- Work closely with the Head of Wealth Planning for Continental Europe and the Middle East to achieve, monitor, and regularly report on the division's performance
- Partnered with the Head of EFG Trustees for Continental Europe and the Middle East in the development of client trusts; supported and oversaw the operation of trusts, funds, and other fiduciary structures primarily for MENA and NRI clients
- Providing ongoing client training on wealth management activities and product structures to support our clients' broader wealth management efforts
- Work closely with the Head of Wealth Planning for Continental Europe and the Middle East and the Client Director on client presentations
Requirements
- 5–7 years of relevant professional experience in wealth planning, client advisory services, law/banking/insurance, or in consulting roles
- A university degree in law or finance is preferred, as well as an interest in obtaining additional qualifications (e.g., TEP, LLM, in tax law, etc.)
- A proven track record in managing business development activities in the field of wealth planning (e.g., at a law firm, as a wealth planner, or as a private banker working with family offices and corporations)
- In-depth knowledge, understanding, and experience in:
- Planning strategies that utilize insurance solutions, financial instruments, and other supporting structures to focus primarily on the wealth management needs, goals, and opportunities of MENA and NRI clients within the broader context of wealth planning
- Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate with and advise a diverse range of clients
- A methodical thinker with a proven ability to demonstrate exceptional analytical rigor and a passion for in-depth research to solve a wide range of business problems
- Building and developing relationships, as well as strong business development skills across customers and markets, including MENA and/or NRI markets
- Ability to maintain additional qualifications related to the field, as well as experience in insurance, brokerage, private banking, or trust companies
- Proficiency and aptitude in using office applications, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement
