(Senior) Windows Server Engineer (Full-Time) (f/m/d)

Job description

The Windows Server Engineer plays a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s Windows Server infrastructure. He is responsible for developing robust and scalable platform solutions, including managing rights delegation frameworks and ensuring secure and efficient privilege management across the entire organization.

Tasks

The tasks include:

• Support and management of Windows servers (Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025) and related services (L2 & L3)
• Windows Server lifecycle management based on defined processes and steps
• Installation and configuration of basic services and software as needed
• Your single point of contact for various applications
• Support for Windows/AD/ADFS/software distribution in collaboration with service owners
• Process Automation and Optimization with PowerShell within CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins/Bitbucket)
• Documentation and training for operational organizations and customers

Requirements

The requirements include:

• Strong communication skills in English
• Strong teamwork skills
• Higher education in IT (vocational school, technical college, university of applied sciences, or university)
• Proven experience with large Windows Server environments
• At least 10 years of experience in Windows Server technology, delegation management, scripting (PowerShell), automation, DSC, backup, antivirus software, logging, etc.
• Extensive knowledge of Active Directory and virtualization
• Strong and proven security expertise in the Windows Server environment
