ServiceNow Developer 100% (f/m/d)

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow developer to join our IT Service Management Engineering team and focus on developing ITSM, GRC/IRM, and SecOps streams. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a ServiceNow developer and a deep understanding of ServiceNow technologies and tools.

Tasks

  • Workflow and process automation: Development of complex automation flows to optimize governance processes, security operations, and service delivery—improving efficiency, reducing risk, and improving audit readiness
  • Performance optimization and troubleshooting: Proactive identification and resolution of performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, inefficient queries, and suboptimal script execution
  • Conducting root cause analyses and applying platform best practices to ensure high availability and responsiveness
  • Security and access control management: Enforcement of strict compliance with security policies, role-based access controls (RBAC), separation of duties (SoD), and audit requirements—ensuring that all developments meet the stringent standards of the financial industry
  • Close collaboration with architects, delivery managers, compliance officers, and business partners to translate complex requirements into resilient, future-proof technical solutions

Requirements

  • Advanced scripting and coding skills: Deep knowledge of JavaScript and ServiceNow server/client-side coding (business rules, script includes, UI actions, client scripts, REST message APIs, Flow Designer)
  • Platform architecture understanding: Strong knowledge of ServiceNow instance management, update set governance, CI/CD pipelines, scoped applications, and upgrade-safe development practices
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex system behaviors, interpret log files, debug complex problems, and provide sustainable technical solutions
  • Integration and interoperability capabilities: Hands-on experience connecting ServiceNow to external systems via integration hubs, middleware, or direct APIs—ensuring data consistency, error handling, and monitoring
  • Collaborative communication: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, explain technical concepts clearly, and contribute constructively to solution design discussions
  • Academic degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks, ITSM tools (especially ServiceNow), and enterprise IT infrastructure
  • At least 5 years of experience as a ServiceNow developer, with a significant focus on ITSM modules
  • At least 3 years of practical experience in GRC and/or SecOps module development and configuration
