ServiceNow Developer 100% (f/m/d)

As a ServiceNow developer at Julius Baer in Madrid, you will be responsible for automating and improving corporate services by developing solutions on the ServiceNow platform. Your tasks will include developing self-service portal components, configuring ticket systems, and implementing integration solutions.

Tasks

As a ServiceNow Developer, you will drive the automation and improvement of business services by designing and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Design, development, and maintenance of ServiceNow solutions with a focus on the business request catalog and ticket systems based on case management
  • Development of user-friendly self-service portal components, including custom widgets and forms, to improve the end-user experience
  • Creation and optimization of reusable server and client-side scripts (e.g., script includes, business rules, client scripts) for process automation
  • Implementation of integrations to simplify onboarding and request processes
  • Prioritization of out-of-the-box ServiceNow functionalities to ensure sustainable, upgrade-proof solutions with minimal customization
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business requirements into technical designs, and deliver tailored solutions
  • Support testing, documentation, and deployment activities within agile release cycles to ensure quality and compliance
  • Troubleshooting, performing root cause analyses, and applying corrections in development, test, and production environments

Requirements

The following requirements apply to this position:

  • Compliance with change and configuration management processes in a controlled environment
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Proven practical experience with ServiceNow development (at least 3 years preferred)
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript, Glide API, REST web services, and streaming (Kafka)
  • Experience with service portal development, including widget creation and front-end customization
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Request, and Case Management
  • Knowledge of integration patterns (e.g., MID Serv, SOAP/REST APIs) and data migration techniques
  • ServiceNow certification as a system administrator (CSA), application developer, or implementation specialist is highly desirable.
