ServiceNow Developer 100% (m/f/d)

As a ServiceNow developer at Julius Baer, you will drive the automation and improvement of enterprise service delivery by designing and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform. Your main tasks will include configuring ticket systems, developing self-service portal components, and optimizing scripts.

Job description

Tasks

  • Design, development, and maintenance of ServiceNow solutions focused on the Business Request Catalog and ticketing systems based on case management
  • Development of user-friendly self-service portal components, including custom widgets and forms, to improve the end-user experience
  • Creation and optimization of reusable server-side and client-side scripts (e.g., script includes, business rules, client scripts) for process automation
  • Implementation of integrations to streamline onboarding and request processes
  • Prioritization of out-of-the-box ServiceNow functionalities to ensure sustainable, upgrade-proof solutions with production environments

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on clean, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Commitment to comply with ITSM best practices and enterprise architecture principles
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail with a quality-oriented mindset, especially with regard to security and scalability
  • Proactive approach to identifying process improvements and automation opportunities
  • Familiarity with widget creation and end-to-end customization
  • Clear communication skills to interact with technical colleagues and non-technical stakeholders
  • Compliance with change and configuration management processes in a controlled environment
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Proven practical experience with ServiceNow development (at least 3 years preferred)
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript, Glide API, REST web services, and streaming (Kafka)
  • Experience with service portal development, including widget creation and end-to-end customizations
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Request, and Case Management
  • Knowledge of integration patterns (e.g., MID servers, SOAP/REST APIs) and data migration techniques
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA); certification as an Application Developer or Implementation Specialist is highly desirable
  • Awareness of security and compliance standards applicable to financial services environments
