ServiceNow Platform Architect

The ServiceNow Platform Architect will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform at Northern Trust to ensure it is reliable, secure, scalable and aligned with business objectives. The candidate will provide technical leadership for the platform and develop solutions that meet complex business needs and comply with regulatory requirements.

Tasks

  • Define and maintain the ServiceNow platform architecture to ensure it aligns with company standards and business objectives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow modules, including ITAM, ITOM, ITAM, IRM, HRSD and custom applications.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for ServiceNow integrations, data flows and automation across the organization.
  • Develop and enforce platform governance, best practices and standards for development, testing, deployment and operations.
  • Provide architectural guidance to internal teams and third party partners to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and performant.
  • Evaluate and implement new ServiceNow features, capabilities and upgrades to stay current with platform innovations and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with InfoSec, Risk and Compliance teams to ensure platform and data security, privacy and regulatory compliance.
  • Advising and managing ServiceNow administrators, developers and business analysts.
  • Troubleshooting complex platform issues and ensuring a high level of reliability and user satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years as a ServiceNow architect in an enterprise environment.
  • Proven expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture, modules and integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server etc.).
  • Experience in a regulated industry (financial services, banking, insurance, etc.) and understanding of related compliance requirements.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL/ITSM principles and corporate IT processes.
  • Solid knowledge of data security, privacy and regulatory standards for financial services.
