The Settlements Specialist is responsible for the coordination of securities transactions, the monitoring of trading transactions and the processing of discrepancies. The position requires extensive knowledge of settlement processes and excellent organizational skills.

Job Description
The Settlements Specialist coordinates the settlement of securities transactions versus payment, oversees trade input and verification, conducts investigations related to settlements and monitors Margin call notifications and responses and Corporate Actions.Main tasks
- Validate and process trades in core system
- Send all margin notification to front office for review and resolution
- Monitor Work Corner for Pershing notifications i.e. unmatched trades, options assignments etc.
- Monitor Corporate Actions notification for processing
- Responsible for sending fall trade report
- Contact counterparties on unmatched trades and resolve any discrepancies
- Processing of coupon claims and follow-up
- Investigate all cases assigned regarding coupon payments, dividends payments or any update on securities.
- Process of securities transfers
- Liaise with Pershing's international department and government clearance for urgent settlement issues
- Security Master amendments including unpriced security
- Process all trade correction: Equity, Fixed Income, Mutual Funds, Structured Products and Options
- Processing of treasuries on deposit at Pershing for Finance Department
Requirements
- Associate degree or Higher.
- FINRA Series 99 certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the financial sector.
- Proficiency in NetCoRe and Globus preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of settlements processes.
- Exceptional follow-up capabilities to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage workload effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
