Software Engineer, AVP
NatWest Group is seeking an experienced Software Engineer (AVP) to join its team in Chennai, India, to develop and implement complex and critical software solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with Java, microservices, DevOps, and Agile methodologies, as well as knowledge of developing high-quality, scalable, and secure software.

In your new role, you will develop and mobilize innovative, customer-focused, high-performance, secure, and robust software solutions. You will select the most suitable products and tools, which are often complex, and work with other engineers, architects, and business analysts on important projects. You will:- Produce complex and critical software quickly and with high quality, adding value to the company
- Responsible for the entire product life cycle, from initial conception through development and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning.
- Working together to optimize our software engineering capabilities
- Working throughout the entire life cycle, from requirements analysis and design to coding, testing, deployment, and operation
What you need
- Experience with development and testing tools, bug tracking tools, and CI/CD
- Expertise in Java and microservices
- Experience with DevOps, testing, and agile methods and the associated tool sets
- A background in coding high-quality, scalable, powerful, and secure software
- Experience in implementing program best practices, particularly with regard to scalability, automation, visualization, optimization, availability, and performance
