Software Engineer, AVP

Job description

The position of Software Engineer, AVP, is part of our digital progress at NatWest Digital X. Our goal is to make digital solutions simple, efficient, and secure. Tasks

In your new role, you will develop and modernize innovative, customer-focused, high-performance, secure, and robust software products that run on multiple platforms and tools. You will also collaborate with other engineers, architects, and business analysts to gather requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating complex and critical software of high quality that adds value to the company
• Responsibility for the entire software life cycle, from conception to development and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning
• Collaborating to optimize our software development capabilities
• Work throughout the entire life cycle, from requirements analysis and design to coding, testing, deployment, and operation

Requirements

You will need:

• Experience with development and testing tools, bug tracking tools, and continuous integration
• Experience with real-time Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and databases
• Understanding of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, CI/CD, and use of cloud and containerization
• A background in coding, highly scalable systems, microservices architecture, and experience with migration to cloud-based products
