Software Engineer in Asset Management

Zürcher Kantonalbank is seeking a Software Engineer for its Asset Management division in Zurich to assist with the technical implementation of regulatory requirements and the maintenance of the core platform. The position requires a relevant college degree, knowledge of DevOps, Linux, and SQL, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team in an innovative IT environment.

Tasks

  • A role involving responsibility for the technical implementation of regulatory requirements and standards
  • Responsibility for the development and operational maintenance of the Core Platform (e.g., Internet networks, etc.)
  • Effective Use of Git for Version Control and Collaborative Development
  • Collaborate with a team of developers to improve system processes and functionality
  • Understanding and Implementing Swiss Regulatory Requirements and Standards
  • A variety of projects covering a wide range of topics in data management, portfolio analysis, and much more

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience in software development in the fields of financial services, risk, and compliance is a plus
  • Experience with DevOps and the operational networks of relational databases and queries (SQL)
  • Knowledge of financial products and non-financial risks in asset management is an asset
  • Previous professional experience with risk management or portfolio optimization is a plus
  • Adequate knowledge of Linux, knowledge of shell scripting, Azure DevOps
  • Strong communication skills, good teamwork, a proactive mindset, and a keen eye for detail
