The position as software engineer at Liberty Vorsorge AG involves responsibility for existing in-house software developments, the modernization of applications by transferring them to a .NET architecture, and the development of new applications to support specialist processes. Duties and responsibilities

  • You are responsible for existing in-house software developments and their modernization through gradual conversion to a .NET architecture, including functional enhancements.
  • On behalf of the specialist departments, you will develop new applications to support specialist processes and build interfaces to connected systems.
  • You will work closely with specialists and team colleagues throughout the agile planning and implementation process.
  • You actively shape the technological direction and suggest suitable tools and frameworks.
  • They ensure development quality through defined standards, systematic testing procedures, and complete technical documentation.
  • You are committed to efficient implementation with external development teams. This requires clear communication and continuous improvement of the software solutions delivered.
  • You conduct code reviews for applications developed on behalf of external service providers, focusing on quality, maintainability, and compliance with internal standards.
  • You provide 1st and 2nd level support for proprietary software developments.

Your profile

  • Technical or university degree in computer science or comparable training
  • Several years of professional experience as a software engineer
  • Very good programming skills in at least one common programming language, preferably .NET, as well as a willingness to learn other languages and technologies
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
  • Confident use of version control and experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, quick comprehension, and a structured and thoughtful approach to implementation
  • High quality awareness, ability to work independently, and teamwork skills
  • Experience in financial IT is a plus
