Liberty Vorsorge AG is looking for a software engineer who will be responsible for existing in-house software developments and their modernization, and who will develop new applications to support specialist processes. The ideal candidate will have several years of professional experience as a software engineer and very good programming skills in .NET or another common programming language.
Duties and responsibilities
- You are responsible for existing in-house software developments and their modernization through gradual conversion to a .NET architecture, including functional enhancements.
- On behalf of the specialist departments, you will develop new applications to support specialist processes and build interfaces to connected systems.
- You will work closely with specialists and team colleagues throughout the agile planning and implementation process.
- You actively shape the technological direction and suggest suitable tools and frameworks.
- They ensure development quality through defined standards, systematic testing procedures, and complete technical documentation.
- You are committed to efficient implementation with external development teams. This requires clear communication and continuous improvement of the software solutions delivered.
- You conduct code reviews for applications developed on behalf of external service providers, focusing on quality, maintainability, and compliance with internal standards.
- You provide 1st and 2nd level support for proprietary software developments.

Your profile
- Technical or university degree in computer science or comparable training
- Several years of professional experience as a software engineer
- Very good programming skills in at least one common programming language, preferably .NET, as well as a willingness to learn other languages and technologies
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
- Confident use of version control and experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills, quick comprehension, and a structured and thoughtful approach to implementation
- High quality awareness, ability to work independently, and teamwork skills
- Experience in financial IT is a plus
