Job Overview
An Italian Solar PV Project Delivery Manager is a professional who specializes in the construction phase and operation of solar power plants. This role involves assessing risks during development and EPC activities related to Alantra's solar PV and BESS plants in Italy.Main tasks
As Solar PV Project Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the development and EPC phases of our Italian PV projects. Your responsibilities will include monitoring key aspects such as permitting, engineering, procurement, and construction. You will help achieve project objectives and provide sound analysis to support senior management decision-making.Main Responsibilities
The main tasks include:- Monitoring technical development progress against the agreed milestone plan and preparing regular progress reports
- Monitoring and optimization of technical layouts (mechanical and electrical) for large-scale photovoltaic power plants
- Supporting the entire project development process by preparing technical documentation during the approval process and ensuring readiness for construction
Requirements
The requirements for this position are:- Master's degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field (a master's degree in renewable energies is an advantage), or at least 5 years of proven technical experience in the development and construction of solar power plants and/or connection facilities (power lines and substations)
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the energy market
- Solid understanding of renewable energies, with a particular focus on solar PV
- Knowledge of technical specifications and regulations relating to medium and high voltage grid connections in Italy
- Working independently and reporting to the EPC Director
- Willingness to travel frequently within Italy. The position is based at Alantra's offices in Milan, Italy.
- Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory, a good command of Spanish is an advantage.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and demonstrate a hands-on approach
- Adaptability, effective communication skills, and the ability to cooperate effectively within a multicultural team
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint
- Strong business analysis skills and a keen eye for detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
