Credit Recovery Specialist

Banque Cantonale de Fribourg is seeking a Credit Recovery Specialist who will be responsible for restructuring distressed loans and mitigating financial risks. The ideal candidate will have experience in the banking sector, in-depth knowledge of credit analysis and financial analysis, as well as excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

About this position

The Credit Recovery department is responsible for resolving distressed loans, mitigating the bank’s financial risks, restructuring and liquidating loans, and negotiating solutions in accordance with the established strategy (e.g., resolution, restructuring, liquidation, exit).

Tasks

The following tasks await you:
  • Management, Restructuring, and Recoupment of High-Risk Loans
  • Protection of the Bank's financial and contractual interests
  • Periodic assessment of general and specific allowances for credit risk at the portfolio level
  • Development of appropriate reporting based on specific key performance indicators and presentation of this information in regular reports for Credit Risk Management and the Credit Committee
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of monitoring and risk management processes in the credit division

Requirements

You meet the following requirements:
  • Basic education in banking, supplemented by advanced training in banking or finance, with several years of professional experience in credit recovery
  • Extensive knowledge of credit analysis, financial analysis, and debt collection
  • A structured and cross-functional mindset, as well as a high degree of intellectual precision
  • An independent and precise approach to work
  • A solution- and results-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Fluency in German and a good command of French (or vice versa)
