Payment Fraud Specialist, 1st Line of Defense

Migros Bank is seeking a Fraud and Payment Transactions Specialist to serve as the first line of defense, responsible for security and the prevention of fraud attempts, and who will contribute to the bank’s security with passion and innovative analysis. The position is advertised as a permanent role with an 80–100% workload and the option to work from home.

Tasks

You analyze fraud cases by reconstructing the sequence of events and evaluating log data, and you prepare reports on fraud attempts and trends. You inform customers in writing and in person about suspicious or fraudulent activities and develop appropriate solutions. You continuously optimize and refine processes to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of fraud prevention. You identify potential cases of fraud and prevent them.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in payment processing / fraud prevention
  • Completed vocational training in compliance or risk management
  • German (native speaker)
  • French (very good knowledge)
  • Italian (very good knowledge)
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and an understanding of complex processes and interrelationships
  • Strong IT skills and confidence in using relevant tools and systems
