Tasks

• Manage day-to-day operational activities and supervise the daily work of lower level staff (but no formal leadership role)
• More technically sound in his field and with broader knowledge of other areas
• Deliver work results that require less revision
• Facilitate discussions and make decisions
• Consult with systems and other business partners regarding new techniques, practices or technologies in data processing and their impact on current and planned projects
• Evaluate techniques, practices or technologies and make recommendations that improve business needs; ensure continuous process improvements
• Participate in strategic planning and long-term direction for technology in the division
