Sr. Associate-Software Support
The Senior Associate - Software Support at Northern Trust will act as a key point of contact and mentor for junior associates, assisting with day-to-day operations by utilizing their technical expertise and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate should have experience in software support and be able to think strategically and evaluate new technologies.
Job description
Tasks
- Serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other lower level employees
- Manage day-to-day operational activities and supervise the daily work of lower level staff (but no formal leadership role)
- More technically sound in his field and with broader knowledge of other areas
- Deliver work results that require less revision
- Facilitate discussions and make decisions
- Consult with systems and other business partners regarding new techniques, practices or technologies in data processing and their impact on current and planned projects
- Evaluate techniques, practices or technologies and make recommendations that improve business needs; ensure continuous process improvements
- Participate in strategic planning and long-term direction for technology in the division
