Job description
Tasks
- Develops software solution designs by studying information needs, consulting with users, studying system flows, data usage and work processes; investigates problem areas; follows the software development life cycle.
- Ensures the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of applications.
- Deeply understands technology selection decision processes such as capacity, response time, data interfaces, client/server communications, industry standards and emerging industry trends, etc.
- Works within an agile scrum framework. Takes stories and tasks through sprints, actively participates in product backlog refinement, daily stand-up and bi-weekly sprint backlog meetings.
- Consults with partners from other functional areas of the organization regarding new techniques, practices or technologies in the data/digital ecosystem and the impact of proposed and ongoing projects.
- Identifies bottlenecks and errors and develops solutions for these problems.
- Updates knowledge and skills to keep pace with rapid advances in industry technology and software technology, including languages, operating systems, development tools, etc.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in web application development, preferably in the financial services sector.
- Experience in leading a team of developers, interacting with business partners, taking ownership of deliveries.
- Strong web UI development experience with REACT.
- Experience with large and complex systems for internal and external customers.
- Experience with cloud and microservices concepts/technologies - Azure.
- Strong database skills.
- Experience with frameworks and technologies such as UML, Spring, Java, XML, XSL transformations, JAXB.
- Experience with web services (REST/SOAP) and messaging technologies such as MQ and JMS.
- Experience with continuous integration tools.
- .NET experience: Experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core or .NET 5+.
- Strong programming skills in C#, (link unavailable) and SQL Server.
- Understanding the cloud.
- Experience in marketing web application development preferred.
- Experience in the development of content management applications (Adobe Content Manager) preferred.
- Proven ability to adapt to new environments and learn new technologies.
Desired skills
- Experience with automated tests.
- Experience in development within an agile development environment.
- Familiarity with design patterns and development tools such as Visual Studio, SQL Server management.
- Any cloud experience.
- Ability/experience in the implementation of test automation.
- Experience with regulatory reporting and integration and applications.
