The Senior Business Systems Analyst acts as an interface between business partners and technicians, translating business requirements into technical solution concepts. The analyst is responsible for collecting, evaluating, and documenting business requirements, as well as developing and supporting enterprise applications.

As a Senior Business System Analyst, the person should establish an effective link between business partners and technical staff by translating business requirements into technical solution concepts and specifications. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for collecting, evaluating, understanding, documenting, and communicating business requirements involved in the development of new or modification and ongoing support of existing enterprise applications.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Perform project work in research, analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation of systems.
  • Carry out project work on schedule and in compliance with operational and performance requirements.
  • Interact with business partners to gather and review business requirements through formal and informal meetings.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements, test plans, and training materials.
  • Define system scope and objectives and develop procedures to solve complex problems, taking into account device capacities and limitations.
  • Analyze production environments and identify and solve problems by working with suppliers and partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/information technology, computer engineering, or a similar technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project implementation/project management.
  • 5+ years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, preferably in private banking.
  • 5+ years of experience in evaluating, implementing, and supporting third-party software packages.
  • Experience with core banking systems, .NET, Visual Studio, SQL Server, Java, and Eclipse.
  • Microsoft certification in one or more subject areas.
  • Knowledge of web applications, databases, networks, and operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with source code and release management systems.
  • Knowledge of database modeling and administration, web development, system testing, and debugging.
