Senior Lead, Anaplan Solutions & Planning Platforms, Pune/Bangalore

Position Summary

• We are seeking a hands-on and highly motivated Senior Lead - Anaplan Solutions & Planning Platforms to develop the implementation, support, and release management, as well as client services for Northern Trust's modeling and planning suite using our native Anaplan ecosystem: PPM Planning, Engineering Cost Report, and Resource Statement Planning (such as rollouts, maintenance plans, and other operational factors).
• You will be part of the ever-evolving planning suite and will be a valuable asset with proven domain expertise, mature and strong problem-solving skills, and business acumen within its scalable, controlled, and user-friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Required Technical Skills and Experience

• Deep expertise in Anaplan solution architecture, model design, Data Hub MSA, ALV, DM development, and deployment, with a proven ability to integrate Anaplan into high-performing business processes.
• Strong functional knowledge of PPM, production planning, budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, and financial cost management, along with in-depth knowledge of Northern Trust's business and its solution pipeline capabilities.
• Experience leading the end-to-end implementation and execution of enterprise planning platforms, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, product deployment, governance, and production support.
• Proven ability to design and manage analytics data integrations, refresh pipelines, ETL, and data analysis across all components of Northern Trust's system landscape.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with expertise in reporting analytics, controls, issue management, documentation, and application performance tuning.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, supplemented by experience scaling large applications through load balancing and user optimization in environments with 500 to 1,000 users.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, establish best practices, conduct quality reviews, prepare documentation, and provide production support.
• Provide guidance to team members on industry best practices, model design, data management, performance optimization, and business governance.
• Ensure sustainable usability quality in every project through rigorous testing, assessment planning, and resolution of all issues.

2. Strategy, Roadmap, and Stakeholder Management

• Partner with business owners and application development teams to implement standardization for office planning, resource initiatives, and strategic planning.
• Transform business needs into scalable Anaplan solutions that deliver reporting scalability, business growth, business scalability, and reporting analytics.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders by providing plans, risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and recommendations.
• Lead the development of roadmap features and ensure alignment across enterprise-wide capacity plans, legacy systems, capacity, and technical feasibility.

3. Solution Architecture & Delivery Oversight

• End-to-end design and delivery of enterprise Anaplan capabilities across PPM planning, forecasting, CGAR, forecast/operational cost center planning, and resource management.
• Design scalable, multi-year platform architecture and solution capabilities for Anaplan's strategic design processes and module planning cycles.
• Ensure that models are high-performing, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Anaplan and enterprise technology standards.
• Drive architectural strategy, design, testing, UAT, implementation, documentation, and production release schedules.

4. Platform Operations, Controls, and Data Quality

• Strengthen production support, incident management, release governance, service controls, and performance and support monitoring.

5. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline planning processes, automate manual tasks, improve reporting transparency, and enhance end-user self-service.
• Evaluate and implement modern planning platforms, including predictive planning, advanced analytics, AI-enabled insights, and integration automation, as appropriate.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, operational controls, accountability, and business-value-driven delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Information Systems.
• 10 years of experience in enterprise Anaplan functional roles, EPM platforms (AFA/Planning), or related business technology environments.
