Senior Lead Cloud Engineer

Tasks

• Design, development, and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure and cloud services that enable our customers and digital products to function optimally and pave the way for future adoption.
• Serve as a central source of knowledge, provide guidelines, and establish operational standards for costs as well as the foundation for all cloud workloads.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure top-notch quality and performance, and evaluate new partnerships to improve service delivery for customers.
• Cloud Platform Engineering:
  • Help customers decide to use our shared cloud services.
  • Maintain a curated list of popular platforms, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain services, platform improvements, and features.
• Infrastructure as Code & Automation:
  • Design and implement scalable infrastructure components.
  • Support and coordinate the resolution of incidents.
• Security Governance & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Review configurations and services on Azure to ensure compliance with security controls.
  • Conduct comprehensive security audits in cloud environments and services.
• Monitoring & Operations:
  • Design and operate (IOP) architectures, including telemetry, SLUs, and operations.
  • Set up monitoring systems with predefined compliance thresholds.
• Observability & Cost Optimization:
  • Design monitoring, logging, and security tools across the entire environment.
  • Create dashboards to track performance, usage patterns, and costs.
  • Recommend cost optimization based on usage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of practical experience in information technology.
• 10 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, and systems operations.
• Technical skills:
  • In-depth expertise with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS) and others.
  • Strong knowledge of Python for scripting in IAC (Terraform, Bicep).
  • Understanding container orchestration (Azure CNI, Acorn (Debian, TufOS)).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Tekton).
  • In-depth knowledge of and troubleshooting skills in Java, TypeScript, .NET, Python, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of service architectures, design patterns for distributed systems, and performance optimization.
  • Professional expertise in the implementation and monitoring of Kubernetes and containerized applications.
  • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry for cross-system observability.
• Required Skills (Role & Title):
  • Experience in developing cloud solutions (data, analytics, AI, etc.) for business users.
