Senior Lead Data Engineer

Tasks

• Designing databases, data models, ETL processes, and data warehouse applications using best practices, tools, and patterns.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders and senior management to achieve business results.
• Understanding of data security, cybersecurity, and PII management.
• Deep understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, methods, and approaches.
• Advanced data analysis using ML, AI, and GenAI.

Roles and responsibilities

• Manage relationships with all stakeholders, focusing on setting expectations and maintaining ongoing customer satisfaction through effective project management and a strong commitment to customer service.
• Evangelizing the data strategy through design, documentation, review, and negotiations between teams to support strategic business and technology goals.
• Demonstrating leadership in the pursuit of modern architectural principles and technology.
• Leading technology proof-of-concepts to ensure the feasibility of architectural solutions.
• Providing architectural guidelines for engineers to support a technical pattern.
• Drive continuous technological transformation to minimize technical debt and continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the architecture.

Requirements

• Investment management or asset management experience is recommended.
• Expert knowledge of relational database concepts, dimensional database concepts, database architecture and design, ontology and taxonomy design.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, business administration, or finance, or equivalent experience.
• Intellectual curiosity, a penchant for independent and self-directed work, and attention to detail.
• Professional experience in managing change, transformation, and process improvement initiatives.
