Sr Lead - Infrastructure Change Manager - Middlware

The Sr Lead - Infrastructure Change Manager - Middleware is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive change management strategy for middleware infrastructures and reports directly to various committees. The position includes change monitoring, risk assessment and communication with stakeholders.

Job description

Job Responsibilities & Strategy Planning

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive change management strategy that aligns with ITM frameworks and financial industry best practices
  • Participate in the development of change management policies and procedures for all platform teams
  • High-level representation of all distributed platform team changes at the Change Advisory Board (CAB)
  • Participation and representation of all distributed platform team changes at the Major Events Advisory Board Review
  • Participation and representation of all distributed platform team changes in the weekly infrastructure change review

Change Request Management

  • Monitoring the entire change lifecycle from submission to completion
  • Review and immediate identification of changes in risk, impact and urgency
  • Ensuring proper documentation of all changes in the ITM tool

Risk Assessment and Mitigation

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for all platform changes
  • Identification and escalation of risks to the development team and project sponsors
  • Ensuring compliance with financial resilience requirements, e.g. SOX, GDPR, PII, D365

Stakeholder Management and Communication

  • Development and execution of communication plans for all platform changes
  • Contact with various stakeholders via platforms, application owners and senior management
  • Conducting briefings before and after implementation

Change Implementation Oversight

  • Maintaining change management references to approved plans
  • Making decisions on the implementation or rejection of critical changes
  • Coordination with platform teams during change execution

Post Implementation Review and Reporting

  • Carrying out post-implementation reviews (PIRs) for significant changes
  • Analyze changes to ensure they are properly designed and agreed upon
  • Preparing plans for failed changes and ensuring that there are no repeat occurrences
  • Preparation of weekly and ad hoc quality reports on changes for management

Continuous Improvement

  • Regular review and updating of change management processes
  • Review change trends to capitalize on opportunities and implement template building where appropriate
  • Update on best practices for change management in middleware technologies
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of new change health plans as they arise

Incident and Problem Management Interface

  • Coordinate with incident and problem management teams to handle changes resulting from major incidents or recurring problems

Compliance and Audit Support

  • Maintaining comprehensive records of all changes for audit purposes
  • Preparation of records and documentation for internal and external audits
