Tasks

• Design and implement secure, scalable back-end systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and promote reusable libraries, design patterns and engineering standards that promote consistency and quality.
• Mentoring engineers and tech leads on system design, performance and safe practices.
• Leading technical decisions and trade-offs across domains to improve maintainability and speed of delivery.
• Promoting observability, testability and operational resilience throughout the development cycle.
• Review and contribute to PRs/ICs, design documents and decision protocols to align teams and provide clarity.
• Work with platform and engineering leaders to improve CI/CD, developer tools and system reliability.
• Support incident response and lead root cause analysis to drive systematic improvements.
• Researching and piloting new technologies that improve performance and developer experience.

Requirements

• Experience in designing complex back-end systems in regulated or highly trusted environments.
• Solid understanding of system performance, observability and secure software development.
• Background in incident management and building resilient, fault-tolerant systems.
• Proven mentoring skills and influence on technical decisions across teams.
• Collaboration capabilities across product, platform, architecture and security roles.
• Familiarity with modern engineering practices: CICD, IaC (Terraform), Kubernetes, AWS.
• Expertise in Java (Quarkus) or NodeJS (NestJS), with a willingness to learn the other.
