Strategic Architecture Lead - Custody (80-100%)

Tasks

As Strategic Architecture Lead for the Custody and DeFi domains, you will be part of the Enterprise Architecture team. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Technical stakeholder within the Custody Value Stream Leadership Team, working closely with business managers and product managers to prioritize delivery dates.
• Partner with executives and project managers to define and continuously develop the delivery pipeline for the custody value stream.
• Formulating and maintaining the strategic enterprise architecture to ensure that it meets business objectives and satisfies scalability, maintainability, and security requirements, while securing the long-term technical direction of the custody value stream.
• Ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture and security best practices, working closely with the enterprise architecture and CISO teams to ensure adherence to established standards.
• Collaborate with tech leaders to drive the platform toward its target state and ensure it aligns with strategic goals.
• Mentoring team members and actively participating in key ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and steering committees, for the teams under your supervision.
• Design, documentation, and communication of technical and architectural decisions as well as roadmap updates to all relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate has:

• A bachelor's degree (or higher) with 10+ years of experience in an engineering, architecture, or technology management role.
• Deep understanding of architectural patterns, modern technology stacks, and security.
• Experience in designing and delivering major business and technical initiatives.
• Comprehensive and practical knowledge of Typescript or Java.
• Managing daily communication with business users and technology teams.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
• Willingness to mentor individuals and teams and to be directly involved in coding when necessary.
• Strong desire to learn continuously.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to support executives in defining a product roadmap and the future of Sygnom's custody business.
• Excellent organization and experience in communicating across teams, geographic regions, and functions.
• A basic understanding of cryptography and blockchain concepts, digital asset security, and key management best practices (HSMs, Trusted Execution Environment, etc.) is highly beneficial but not required.
