Strategic Financial Analyst & Performance Manager, Full-Time (F/m/d)

Tasks

• Conduct and implement quantitative analyses as part of a team (using the Management Information System)
• Provide early insights into customer trends and findings regarding the income statement, their impact, and resource allocation
• Analyze products and define actionable measures to drive and improve the relevant performance metrics
• Serve as a sparring partner for the front office on financial matters, with direct exposure to management and key stakeholders within the bank (e.g., Accounting, Treasury, Capital Management, Credit)
• Support the region's financial planning and performance management processes (including forecasts)
• Develop tools that focus on further automation and more flexible and timely data utilization to enable insights for decision-making processes
• Conduct and deliver business case assessments and market strategy reviews on a regular basis
• Improve the performance management and reporting landscape to enable tracking of the implementation of the long-term business strategy

Requirements

• Strong academic background: A university degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field with above-average grades
• At least 4–5 years of experience in a comparable finance or related role within the banking industry or in management consulting with a focus on banking
• Excellent Excel and data processing skills, combined with a knack for conducting in-depth quantitative analyses
• Knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with multiple senior stakeholders
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, quick thinking, and outstanding teamwork skills
• Strong personal motivation, combined with good organizational and multitasking skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• English (fluent); German required. Knowledge of other languages is a plus, e.g., Chinese, French, or Italian
