Strategic Financial Controller (Full-Time) (f/m/d)

Tasks

• Take an active role in management reporting and controlling for performance management, including improving the existing report library and designing new products to support the future development of revenue and cost management frameworks for the region
• Conduct quantitative analyses and business case evaluations on a regular basis and prepare presentations for senior management
• Help build and maintain complex financial models that transform financial data into actionable insights
• Serve as a sounding board for the front office on financial matters, with direct access to senior management and key stakeholders within the bank
• Support the region's financial planning and performance management (including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis)
• Support strategic financial initiatives that enable the region to achieve its financial goals
• Develop tools designed to enable further automation and more flexible, real-time use of data

Requirements

• Strong academic background in a quantitative field: a university degree in finance, accounting, econometrics, or a comparable field of study with above-average grades
• At least 4–5 years of experience in a comparable finance or related role within the banking/financial industry, or a background as an analyst or controller in other industries
• Strong interest in private banking and global financial markets; experience in a similar environment is a plus
• Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, with a strong aptitude for quantitative modeling
• Excellent Excel and data management skills, programming knowledge (e.g., VBA, Python, SQL, R), and data analysis skills
• An independent, proactive, efficient, and meticulous approach to work, combined with a results-oriented mindset
• Fluent English (spoken and written); German is a plus
