Job Description
Strategic Relationship Manager, Aladdin Client Engagement, Vice President/Director at BlackRock Solutions (BRS) supports the investment process by developing, delivering, and supporting our enterprise investment management platform ('Aladdin'), which is used by executives, portfolio managers, risk managers, and operational teams. BRS provides strategic advisory and enterprise investment services to our clients, who manage over $20 trillion in assets. Our diverse client base includes external institutional asset managers, pension funds, insurance companies, foundations, and governments worldwide.Tasks
The most important tasks include:- Build and strengthen relationships with senior leadership (CIO, CFO, CEO, CTO, CLO, Head of Deposits) to understand their business objectives and needs, and help them leverage Aladdin expertise to achieve their company’s goals.
- Connect client executives with senior BLK leaders when appropriate to strengthen the overall relationship and facilitate the initiation of cross-product mandates.
- Build and mobilize a comprehensive network of BLK partners across functions to orchestrate holistic, enterprise-wide solutions tailored to each client’s strategic needs.
- Understand the customer’s business challenges and propose solutions that leverage Aladdin to increase value and adoption.
- Help customers get the most out of Aladdin throughout the entire investment and portfolio lifecycle.
- Drive business success and financial results for customers, including renewals, new product subscriptions, and changes to the pricing structure.
- Work with Business Development and customers to identify cross-selling opportunities for additional Aladdin products and services and bring these opportunities to a successful conclusion.
- Ensure that customer feedback on products is communicated to the product management and product development teams, as well as to other internal stakeholders, to guide and coordinate future developments.
- Stay up to date on industry trends to help clients adapt to changing times and strengthen your position as a trusted advisor.
- Work with customers to define key strategic and tactical initiatives to solve problems, expand adoption, and integrate Aladdin.
Requirements
The requirements include:- 7+ years of professional experience in the financial sector or in consulting.
- A degree in business administration, economics, accounting, finance, or engineering is preferred.
- Strong interest in fintech and financial institutions (banks and insurance companies) and/or asset management.
- A strong background in buy-side investment management, risk management, and/or middle-office workflows is preferred.
- Strong understanding of fixed-income securities and equities, markets, and their operational workflows. Knowledge of alternative investments such as hedge funds.
- A high level of comfort combined with complexity (in terms of volume, technology, and processes).
