The Strategy & Business Development Project Manager is responsible for the project management and implementation of strategic initiatives within the Global Products & Solutions division at Julius Baer. The role involves working with various stakeholders to ensure that product offerings remain competitive and relevant.

Job Title:

Strategy & Business Development Project Manager

Tasks

  • Project management and implementation of local, regional, global and strategic initiatives with a holistic view to ensure that all relevant aspects are considered
  • Focus on initiatives to ensure that the product offering suite for Global Products & Solutions (GPS) remains competitive and relevant
  • Regular dialog with Investment Advisors, Senior Management and Product Specialists to understand client needs and requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various functions within the bank to define the overall scope, objectives, deliverables and timelines for initiatives
  • Coordination and implementation of relevant change management activities
  • Build effective relationships across the banking sector to gain knowledge of the business and its latest products and services

Key features of the position

Personnel management

  • Contribute to strengthening team spirit and fostering a collaborative working environment in a global environment
  • Build highly effective relationships with global, regional and local stakeholders across various banking functions

Customer management (internal & external)

  • Independently lead end-to-end management/implementation of local, regional, global and strategic initiatives and contribute to all project phases
  • Determination of the overall scope, objectives, results and timetables in coordination with the business and in consultation with management
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders across the banking division to identify and analyze business requirements
  • Ensuring regular and effective communication with relevant stakeholders and management
  • Regular inputs/updates/MIS reporting of projects/initiatives for various management forums
  • Identification of opportunities to improve functional efficiency and productivity

Regulatory responsibilities &/or risk management

  • Fulfillment of all legal, regulatory and compliance standards/requirements
  • Compliance with the standards and expectations set out in the relevant user manuals and guidelines
  • Demonstration of appropriate values and behavior

Requirements

Personal & social

  • Working independently in a global environment and effectively managing internal and external stakeholders

Professional & technical

  • At least 7 years of relevant wealth management experience with a strong understanding of financial markets and products
  • Relevant higher education and professional background
  • Strong commercial judgment and business acumen
  • Familiarity with agile project methods and tools
  • Strong understanding of IT and strong command of MS Office applications
  • Strong verbal communication and writing skills

Regulatory

  • Familiarity with local regulatory expectations and requirements
  • Understanding of cross-border rules and regulations
  • Demonstrate risk awareness as a team, balanced with commercial judgment and business acumen
