Overview

  • Position: Strategy & Business Development Project Manager
  • Location: Singapore
  • Working hours: Full-time

Tasks

  • Responsibility for planning, managing and leading key strategic projects from initiation to completion to ensure consistency with strategy, purpose and objectives

Key areas of the position

Personnel management

  • Contribute to strengthening team spirit and fostering a collaborative working environment in a global environment
  • Building highly effective relationships with global, regional and local stakeholders across different functions

Client Management (Internal & External)

  • Independently lead the end-to-end management/implementation of local, regional, global and strategic initiatives and contribute to all project phases (e.g. discovery work, coordination, business analysis, business process, UAT, change management and rollout, etc.) to ensure all relevant aspects are addressed
  • Defining the overall scope, objectives, deliverables and timelines in coordination with the business and in consultation with management for the various initiatives/projects
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders in the organization (e.g. Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Front Office, Business Management, etc.) to identify and analyze business needs and distill high-level information to develop/propose appropriate solutions to bridge/address gaps
  • Ensure regular and effective communication with relevant stakeholders and management (regional and global) during the different project phases

Regulatory responsibilities and/or risk management

  • Fulfillment of all legal, regulatory and compliance standards/requirements
  • Compliance with the standards and expectations set out in the relevant user manuals and guidelines
  • Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards of honesty and integrity, reasonable care and diligence, fair treatment (fair treatment of clients), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements

Personal & social

  • Work independently in a global environment and be able to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds in a highly articulate and professional manner

Professional & Technical

  • At least 7 years of relevant wealth management experience with a strong understanding of financial markets and products, in particular structured products, OTC derivatives, foreign exchange, precious metals
  • Relevant higher education and professional background
  • Strong commercial judgment and business acumen
  • Familiarity with agile project methods (e.g. program increments, Scrum, etc.) and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, etc.) is an advantage
  • Strong IT flair and strong command of MS Office applications
  • Strong verbal communication and writing skills

Regulatory

  • Familiarity with local regulatory expectations and requirements
  • Understanding of cross-border rules and regulations
  • Demonstrate risk awareness within the team, balanced with commercial judgment and business approach
