Strategy & Operations Manager – COO, Asset Management

Tasks

• Development and implementation of well-optimized and documented runbooks, as well as standardized operating procedures across various business units, including various asset management systems.
• Defining and refining optimal operational processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and fostering cross-functional coordination to enhance overall organizational effectiveness and resilience.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, technology teams, and business units to maintain effective, resilient, and efficient processes in highly complex environments.
• Develop and maintain strategic and operational plans for asset management operations to ensure alignment with business objectives as well as regulatory and operational requirements.
• Monitoring the implementation of new business processes and operational changes to ensure a smooth transition and minimize disruptions to day-to-day operations.
• Identifying and promoting opportunities for digital transformation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and reduce operational risks.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and OKRs in collaboration with stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of operational processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Serves as a central hub of expertise, advising executives on process design, operational strategy, and the implementation of process improvement initiatives that streamline workflows.
• Conduct key data analyses and prepare monthly reports, dashboards, and reports to inform strategy, support decision-making, and optimize business results.
• Communicate with network partners in Switzerland and regionally to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and operational best practices.
• Monitoring the operation of the Asset Research Solution to ensure a high level of service for all customers.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in structuring, managing, and executing complex initiatives, ideally in asset management.
• A solid understanding of the asset management value chain, including both traditional and digital processes.
• Proven experience in applying structured problem-solving and business management techniques, including project management tools and methodologies.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, combined with excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills.
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel; ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Strong team players with a proactive and collaborative mindset who can work effectively in a diverse team environment.
• Strong organizational skills with a strong focus on balancing competing priorities and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Translation skills and business language proficiency in various languages to support international cooperation.
• Excellent active listening and communication skills at various organizational levels.
• A curiosity about exploring how AI can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
• Understanding of financial and investment-related controls and risk standards, as well as ethical use.
