Structured Products and Derivatives Implementation Lead

The Structured Products and Derivatives Implementation Lead will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of structured products and derivatives, from conception to delivery, working closely with product managers, stakeholders and teams. The role includes leading product roadmaps, defining product features and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

About the role

Responsible for the build and maintenance of sustainable products (service, application or tool) that meet customer needs over the product lifecycle, led by the Product Manager (PM).

Tasks

  • Designing and delivering the product roadmaps for structured products and derivatives platforms, with end-to-end ownership across the product lifecycle
  • Understanding business cases and defining clear, value-driven product features in close partnership with key stakeholders
  • Managing the front-to-back product implementation, testing and release from conception through release, all whilst ensuring maximum value with minimum waste
  • Proactively researching and analyzing the market, users, and latest trends in the industry to continuously evolve each product roadmap
  • Building highly effective relationships across the Bank to maintain and improve knowledge of the business and its latest products and services

Key Features and Accountabilities

People Management

  • Contribute to the strengthening of the team spirit and the fostering of a collaborative work environment
  • Motivate and share feedback to other team members to improve overall performance

Stakeholder management

  • Collaborate closely with product managers and business owners to understand client and market needs
  • Develop cases and define product features based on inputs from business owner and business representative
  • Continuously profitfite/story with business owners based on business cases and implementation costs
  • Understand the system implications of the new product and identify roadblocks and dependencies with other features

Product Management

  • Understand the front to back flow of product issuance
  • Work with various risk functions to identify, assess and mitigate potential risks associated with the new product
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to understand the system implications of the new product
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to new product implementation
  • Participate in testing and quality assurance process
  • Ensure the new product is operationally ready for distribution
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the process

Regulatory Responsibilities AOR/ Risk Management

  • Meet all legal, regulatory and compliance standards/requirements while implementing products
  • Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviors

Specialist knowledge

  • Good knowledge of financial products, in particular cross asset structured products and derivatives
  • Experience in Advisory and Sales processes
  • Experience in agile project methodologies and framework
  • Experience in managing product delivery across work streams

Regulatory

  • Familiar with regulatory expectations and requirements in Singapore and Hong Kong
